Experience:
At age 8, Jake auditioned and was chosen to be a member of the mixed band called BeachTown. In the course of the 10 months training Jake received an all around live performance preparation including dance and fitness, as well as vocal coaching and studio recording. Over the 10 months he was assessed by a number of accomplished professionals , under whose guidance Jake's attainment and level of preparation continually improved up to the point where the work culminated with the recording of a high quality demo containing original songs performed by the whole group as well as an original solo song 'Superhero' performed by Jake himself. He also made a number of high profile appearances along the Costa Del Sol.

These included:-
Rehearsal for British Channel 4 Television, organised by Dream Experience.
A debut performance at Club La Costa holiday resort.
A live television appearance on Localia TV.
A performance at Costa del Sol Youth arts Festival (2002)
Guest appearance at Pop Idol The Challengers (2002)
A live performance and radio interview followed on Onda Cera International with Maurice Boland.
The groups songs were also featured on numerous other occasions both on local radio and TV.

After the 'Upstage Project' Jake continued his training with MMI and formed a group called '4 €uros' who recorded a origional song 'Gimmie a Break'. The band was unfortunately short lived and broke up in July 2005.

In 2003, Jake competed against hundreds of children in the Little Junior category of the Costa del Sol singing competition called “In Your Dreams” singing his version of 'Robbie Williams - Let me Entertain You' and took first prize, winning recording sessions at MMI.

Jake is currently training as a solo artist has had three further solo song written for him and recorded called 'Chasing My Dreams' , 'Find Another Way' and 'Hot Stuff'. He has also recorded four cover songs. His voice broke when only 11 so Paul rerecorded Superhero and Chasing My Dreams in his new adult voice. He has also recorded a duet with Lexy Badger-Ward who is also training at MMI as a solo artist.

Since 2005, Jake has been a co-host on the music radio show “Fame Games” that airs on Onda Cero International (OCI) FM 101.6 and 94.6. The radio show is also on the Internet and commands a strong web presence and can be heard at www.meermusic.com. He has been featured regularly in many publications throughout the Costa del Sol including Essential, Hi!, Kids on the Costa, The Sur in English, and the Web Express since 2003. He has also made guest appearances on Localia TV, Global FM and REM FM.

Jake is also learning to play the Piano and is studying for his music theory grade 4 exam. He has attended a song writing course and spends time writing songs and composing music in his studio. He also has attended numerous theatre workshops and performed lead parts in the Little Shop of Horrors ,Wiz and Fame.
Jake is also attending Hip Hop and Musical Theatre classes at 'The Inernational Theatre School'.

Goals:
To have a future career in music either as a performer or a producer; To help make the Fame Games radio show more popular - which is helping unsigned artists and bands find an audience; To faithfully donate to Hemi-Help, the society that has been helping him with his Cerebral Palsy and to be a role model to those who have been born with a handicap.
